This colander is wheel-thrown and made of red stoneware. It is finished with a red iron glaze. Textured slab handles have been added for decoration and to make holding it easier. The many holes allow for good drainage.
Use it for rinsing and cleaning small to medium amounts of lettuce, fruit, vegetables, and herbs. May, also, be used to serve fruits, vegetables, or whatever fits.
The foot is sanded so that it is smooth to the touch. The bowl is 6.75 inches in diameter, 4.25 inches tall, 8 inches in diameter with the handles, 4.75 inches tall at the handles, and will hold about 5 cups.
Use and care instructions: Food and dishwasher safe. Handwashing is recommended as it reduces the wear and tear on the pot and glaze.
