This canoe shaped serving bowl has been glazed with a dark neutral blue both inside and out. This is great dish for serving salads, pasta dishes, mashed potatoes, and may serve well as a fruit bowl. Warm it from room temperature in the oven to keep hot foods warmer when serving.
It is handbuilt from a slab (flat piece of clay) and coils (long pieces of clay). Lug (short coil) handles were added to make handling it easier. The body has been stamped to add visual interest. All of the stamps are handmade by me and unique. The clay body is a red stoneware. The foot is sanded so that it is smooth to the touch.
This bowl is 10.5 inches long, 11.5 inches long handle-to-handle, 7 inches wide, and 3 inches tall. It will hold about 6-8 cups.
Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
