There is little quite as satisfying than taking a perfectly good bowl and poking some holes in it to make a colander. The holes vary in size and are arranged in a pentagonal pattern. The piece is wheel-thrown and made of red stoneware. It is finished with a seemingly gold dusted black-mahogany glaze known as Amber Teadust. Textured slab handles have been added for decoration and to make holding it easier. The many holes allow for good drainage.
Use it for rinsing and cleaning small to medium amounts of lettuce, fruit, vegetables, and herbs. May, also, be used to serve or gather fruits, vegetables, or whatever fits.
The foot is sanded so that it is smooth to the touch. The bowl is 7.5 inches in diameter, 4.5 inches tall, 9.5 inches in diameter with the handles, 5 inches tall at the handles, and will hold about 6 cups.
Use and care instructions: Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Handwashing is recommended as it reduces the wear and tear on the pot and glaze.
This is the actual piece for sale.
